My aim is to offer simple, practical advice on how to overcome your health issues and maintain good health. My programmes are designed to be realistic and attainable, taking into account personal tastes, time restrictions, finances and commitments offering solutions in the form of nutritional changes, physical exercise, relaxation and psychological shifts of perspective which will allow changes to take place as easily and effectively as possible.
If you are interested in having a consultation, or if you are unsure of which programme would suit you best, email me to arrange a time for your consultation or a time when we can speak to discuss your needs.
Health Assessment and Dietary Recommendations
£40 for a 45 minute consultation.
An in-person or phone/Skype session where your diet and current health issues are discussed and specific dietary and lifestyle recommendations are made. You will be provided with nutritional and lifestyle notes specific to your health concerns with personalised notes added during the consultation.
Full nutritional consultation by Phone or Skype with email support
£125 for a 90 minute consultation.
A full nutritional consultation can be conducted via telephone / Skype and email. Once an appointment has been made, a list of questions will be sent to you in preparation for the consultation. The consultation will take place on the telephone / Skype when you will call me at a pre-arranged time. This generally lasts around 90 minutes and covers all aspects of current and past health issues, both physical and psychological together with eating patterns and habits.
This information is then used to compile a personalised dietary and supplement programme to address your specific requirements which will be sent to you via email a few days after the consultation.
This programme will include a breakdown of food groups giving recommendations on what to eat and what should be limited or avoided.
During the initial few weeks following your programme you will be invited to correspond with me via phone or email if you have any queries or concerns or if you need extra support and motivation.
Full nutritional consultation in person with email support
£125 for a 90 minute consultation + a callout fee of £15.
The same procedure as above except the consultation will take place in my practice room in Hampshire or my clinic in Haslemere, Surrey. I can also come to your home for a small extra fee if you are within a 25mile radius of my home, or if you are based in SW London where I practise two days a week.
During the initial few weeks following your programme you will be invited to correspond with me via phone or email if you have any queries or concerns.
Follow-Ups.
£60.
It is usual to have a follow-up after about 6 weeks of your nutritional consultation. This is usually conducted by phone and lasts between 30 – 45 minutes. This is your chance to reflect on any changes to your health and as a result adjustments to your programme will be made accordingly. A second and third follow-up may be necessary depending on the complexity of your condition.
Half-Day sessions.
£175.
Held at my practice in Hampshire, these half days comprise a full consultation as above, plus the opportunity to spend time with me in the kitchen, going though the various food products I recommend, where to buy them and how to use them. You will also share a lunch with me which will be freshly prepared in your presence. This is a great opportunity to ask further questions, get to learn more about healthy eating and foodstuffs which you might not be familiar with, plus have a tasty lunch in a lovely setting.
Weight Matters.
£90 for a 1 hour consultation.
For some people their weight, lack of or excess, can be a cause of great concern and psychological distress. Maybe you think you are doing all the right things and still your weight remains stubbornly unchanged, or maybe you have a history of yo-yo dieting and you want to finally establish a long-term eating solution to maintain a healthy weight. This programme will focus upon your specific weight battles. These sessions will look at the psychological and emotional aspects to your eating and food choices as well as the practical aspects of when, what and how you eat. Exercise and fitness advice will also be an important feature of your programme.
You will be provided with a full dietary programme as above.
These sessions can be conducted in person or on the telephone. Regular follow-up sessions may be required in order to address any psychological and/or emotional issues arising as a result of your change in eating habits.
Stress Matters.
£65 for a 1 hour consultation.
Stress is a term widely used but rarely fully understood. From a health perspective, living in a stressful, high pressure environment, albeit related to work, home or personal struggles, can play havoc with sleep patterns, digestion, absorption of nutrients, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels and weight loss / gain. Stress is also a major contributor to irritability, depression, fatigue, chronic IBS, memory issues and feelings of being unable to cope.
This programme looks at your sources of stress, finds ways to enable you to cope better with these issues and change what aspects of your life can be changed in order to decrease the levels of stress you regularly experience. As there will always be some aspects of life which cannot be changed, you will learn how best to cope and mitigate the stresses and strains you face. Nutritional and lifestyle factors are explored to allow you to be the best you can be within the circumstances of your life.
Q&As by email.
10 questions for £20 or 25 questions for £30.
You may not feel you need a full nutritional therapy consultation but you may have some health and diet issues you would like to better understand. In my practice I have found that my patients are always bursting with questions about the foods they love to eat, what healthier alternatives are available and how best to prepare and cook food. The questions are often very specific to the patient’s own tastes and food preferences so I now offer a unique service where you can ask me exactly what you would like to know about your own health and dietary practices. You have a choice of asking up to 10 questions or up to 25 questions.
To ask your questions simply download the health in hand Q&As form, fill it in and email it to me. You will also need to send your payment by cheque. You will find the address on the contact page.
On receiving your questions and your payment I will supply you with comprehensive, clearly explained responses to your queries. My answers will be based upon my clinical knowledge, current research and personal experience, depending upon the nature of the questions.
